Marchetti Ultimate North Wales Experience

This is our flagship lesson and contains all of the Mach Loop flight while adding iconic locations across North West Wales. You can expect 2 hours and 15 minutes with your instructor, of which 1 hour and 35 minutes is in the aircraft and 1 hour and 10 minutes airborne.

Your instructor will give you a 20-minute briefing, describing your route and how to fly the Marchetti in the valleys of Wales. You’ll then get kitted up with a flying suit, helmet and parachute, before heading out to your aircraft. After take-off you will head west to Llyn Brenig (Playboy Lake), then drop into low level and fly via Alwen Reservoir (Crocodile Lake) on the Northern Plain to Betws y Coed and then down through 'the A5 Pass': along the Ogwen Valley, looking up at the climbers on Tryfan and the Glydderau. You’ll round the heads of the A5 Pass and Llanberis Pass, turning Southwest back into the mountains to follow the Snowdon Ranger valley to Beddgelert beneath majestic Yr Wyddfa. Flow South via the Aberglaslyn Pass to Llyn Trawsfynydd (Poison Lake), and onward to Dolgellau where you pick up the same route as in the Mach Loop flight, including twice round the Mach Loop.

This is delivered as a lesson, with teaching throughout. You will fly as much of the sortie as possible and receive a thorough debrief, including points to work on next time!
